Making inbound marketing work for you

We often get the question, “What is the best way to make inbound marketing work?”

Companies that take an aggressive and active approach to both traditional marketing AND inbound marketing see the best results.  What’s the difference between traditional and inbound marketing? Inbound marketing typically takes some form of engagement whether it’s through a blog, Facebook page, or Twitter profile.  Inbound marketing requires participation where traditional marketing lacks engagement and quality interactions on a personal level.

Companies that have the most success with inbound marketing typically have a strong reputation on the traditional marketing media. If your company is able to bridge the gap between traditional and inbound marketing you are much more likely to see a positive ROI than if you are just marketing one way or the other.

Bottom-line: Traditional marketing is not dead, and inbound marketing is just getting going. Make the two work together and the results will speak for themselves.

RIP Steve Jobs

“Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Don’t be trapped by dogma — which is living with the results of other people’s thinking. Don’t let the noise of others’ opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.” – Steve Jobs

What do you think? Will brands use timeline cover photos and LinkedIn images for company profiles in a similar manner?
